• Oklahoma City?

Oklahoma City. Have you visited? You should. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s better.

  • Surely the characters are based on real people?

They are not. There’s a spark of myself in every character. But they are all purely invented, imaginary, fictitious. And don’t call me Shirley.

  • Why are the characters purple, green, and orange?

I like it that way. Check out a color wheel. These colors form a harmonic triad. When used together they make a vibrant combination.

Wait, who’s Rocky again? Who wrote this comic?

It gets a little inside-out. Rocky is a character in the comic strip and is my pen name as the author of the comic strip. Josh Barnhill wrote the comic strips and the books.

Did Rocky at least draw the pictures?

Sadly, no. Color art was drawn by real people at an illustration company called Penji. For the line art backgrounds of interiors and the park, a favorite AI tool helped. Josh is a writer and storyteller but unfortunately not a visual artist.

Was this just for fun or was it meant to get me thinking?

Absolutely.

Astoria and Prattler -- are they an item?
